Professor Anne-Marie Deitering has accepted an appointment as Interim Donald and Delpha Campbell University Librarian, effective January 1, 2021. Deitering will be replacing University Librarian Faye A. Chadwell, who is departing for a post at Pennsylvania State University as the Dean of University Libraries and Scholarly Communications. The permanent hire for the University Librarian position is expected to be in place for fall 2021.

Professor Deitering has served Oregon State since 2003, most recently as Associate University Librarian for Learning Services (since 2016), and previously as Head of the library’s Teaching and Engagement Department. She also holds the Franklin A. McEdward Professorship for Undergraduate Learning Initiatives.

Professor Deitering holds a Master of Library Science degree from Emporia State University and a Master of Arts in History from Syracuse University. Her B.A. in History is from the University of Pennsylvania.
