Assessment is an important component of the work being done at Oregon State University Libraries and Press. Individual departments and units formally and informally assess services, workflows, and projects implemented in order to improve how we are serving our community. In order to look wholistically across the entire library, our assessment librarian implements surveys, collects library-wide data, and works with the library administration team. We have recently finished a new strategic plan, and our assessment librarian is currently working on a yearly assessment plan that will align with OSU Library's strategic plan, as well as the University's strategic plan.
