new position with the OSU Libraries and the Center for
Digital Scholarship & Services. She comes to us from the
College of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences, where
she earned her Ph.D. in 2008 and recently completed her
postdoctoral training.
April Zeller
was hired as a Library
Technician II in the Circulation Services
Unit, covering our late night hours
during 24/5 service hours. April is an
OSU Alum who previously worked at
the OSU Libraries and was the recipient
of a donor funded Totten award.

Bryan Feyerherm
was promoted to
Library Technician III,in the Circula-
tion Services Unit, in October. Bryan
has worked in Circulation at the OSU
Libraries since 1987 as an evening and
weekend staff member. Bryan will be
primarily responsible for hiring, train-
ing, scheduling, and supervising stu-
dent employees and scheduling staff for
the Circulation desk. Bryan is an OSU Alum with a B.S. in
Geography.
Micki Reaman
has a new professional
faculty position at the OSU Press as the
Marketing Manager. Micki served as the
Editorial and Marketing Associate for
the Press since 2008. Micki previously
worked in marketing at the Corvallis Art
Center and Calyx Books and Journal. In
her new position, Micki will be respon-
sible for developing and implementing
communication and marketing plans for OSU Press books
and assessing the potential market for
manuscripts under consideration. She
also will supervise one classified staff
person and student workers, including
the Griffis Publishing Intern.
Terry Reese
, the Gray Family Chair for
Innovative Library Services, led a col-
laborative effort between OSU Libraries
and the State Library to create and implement the Librar-
ies of Oregon, which the ACRL-OR Board selected to
receive the 2012 ACRL-Oregon Award for Excellence.
This award recognizes “individuals or groups who
achieve excellence in the field by significantly improving
Oregon academic libraries or librarianship.” The award
letter read, “The Libraries of Oregon project embodies
every aspect of this award, and we are very excited to
recognize the project in this way.”

) connects Oregon residents to statewide library
resources and local public libraries. These resources in-
clude the statewide subscription databases from Gale that
are paid for by federal Library Services and Technology
Act (LSTA) funds administered by the Oregon State
Library.
Vice Provost Rebecca Warner commented on the
award, “This is a very nice recognition—not only for OSU
but for your [Terry’s] ongoing work in making the OSU
academic library the library for Oregon and beyond. Con-
gratulations.”

Services, from August 2012,
until July 2013. Philip will work in a
variety␣
of roles related to
digital␣
collections, repository services
and␣
digital preservation. Prior to receiv-
ing his MLS from the University of
Washington, he worked in the Digital Production Unit as
the library’s first student scanner.␣
