If you've been to the Valley Library during Crafternoons, you're likely familiar with the smiling faces and warm community connections that the events inspire.

On November 2nd a regularly scheduled 4pm - 6pm Crafternoons took place in the Kow Lounge (located on the main floor of the library, the entrance of the Learning Commons). Later that same night, a new event was launched just for our night owls at 8pm. This was our first Crafternights!

Library staff welcomed over 80 night owls into the Kow Lounge and crafted glow in the dark friendship bracelets, shrinky-dinks, and shoe charms. Crafters remarked at how wonderful it is to have an event that is low-pressure and held at a convenient time.

A few attendees mentioned that they enjoyed crafting bracelets so much during the earlier Crafternoon that they invited friends and came back for more!

We were so excited to host our crafting beavs and hope to hold more Crafternights. While no future Crafternights are scheduled at the moment, watch out for this event in the future. For the time being, check out the upcoming Crafternoons to enjoy a free crafting event.
