David Irvin has joined OSULP as the Director of the Guin Library in Newport. David comes to us from New Mexico State University where he was the department head for Reference and Research Services. He also brings specialized experience with government documents and information and intellectual property services. Welcome to Oregon State University Libraries and Press!

David brings a wealth of experience to OSULP. As the department head for Reference and Research Services at New Mexico State he grappled with many administrative challenges while at the same time providing research and instructional support to students, researchers and community members.  He also brings specialized experience with government documents and information, and intellectual property services.  He generated a lot of interest at Hatfield (and across the Zoom lines in Corvallis and Bend) with his commitment to “engaging new ideas, partners and strategies to deploy information services and research support.”
