Welcome to the OSU Libraries News and Events page!

As part of Oregon Archives Month, archivists at the Special Collections and Archives Research Center at the Valley Library have organized a building tour of OSU’s historic Weatherford Hall. The tour is set for Wednesday, October 7, 2:00-3:00 p.m., and the tour begins at Bing’s Café on the ground level of Weatherford Hall.

Get the inside view of the most majestic building on campus. Join us for a guided tour of Weatherford Hall, a former men’s dormitory that has served as one of OSU’s architectural icons since its construction in 1928. See colorful examples of Weatherford’s past — such as the doors painted by dorm residents — and learn about the program that saved the structure from the wrecking ball a little more than a decade ago.

The OSU Libraries Fall Grad Student and Faculty Workshop Series kicks off on October 5 with a session on learning to capture, manage and cite your research sources with Zotero (Intro and Intermediate/Advanced sessions). If Zotero doesn’t suit you, on October 6 you can try EndNote (Basic and Intermediate/Advanced), which is another option for capturing, managing and citing your research sources.

View all of the offerings in the library’s fall workshop series at http://bit.ly/graduate-workshops. Registration is encouraged but not required.
