We provide our interlibrary lending services only to libraries. If you are an individual who needs material from OSU's collections and cannot visit the library in-person, please contact your local library for interlibrary loan service.
Requests
We will not accept requests via email, telephone, or fax. All requests must be placed via OCLC or our online request form.
Books Circulate 16 weeks; one 16 week renewal if approved.
Masters theses If not accessible via the web, then will loan circulating copy if available. Most doctoral dissertations published after July 1, 2006 will be accessible via the web.
Ph.D. dissertations If unavailable via the web, then will loan if circulating copy available; most published after 1958 are available from UMI.
Special Collections, archival materials Copies made on a case by case basis; no loans available.
Maps Circulate 1 week use (3 weeks due date) with restrictions of library use only, no renewals, return in a box via Orbis/Cascade Alliance Courier, UPS, or FedEx.
Microfilm and microfiche Circulate 4 weeks with no renewals. Return in a box via Orbis/Cascade Alliance Courier, UPS, or FedEx.
Audiovisual and Music Scores Circulate 1 week use (3 week due date) with restrictions of no renewals, return in a box via Orbis/Cascade Alliance Courier, UPS, or FedEx.
Periodicals, reference materials Circulate on a case-by-case basis to GWLA libraries and Orbis/Cascade Alliance libraries only with 1 week circulation and 1 renewal if approved. Return unbound periodicals in a box via Orbis/Cascade Alliance Courier, FedEx or UPS.
Shipping Courier service to Orbis/Cascade Alliance libraries; FedEx to GWLA member libraries; loans to others are sent via FedEx; ARIEL and FAX for nonreturnables. FedEx for rush requests (please provide a Fed Ex account number).

Rush service $10 IFM/invoiced. Filled within 24hrs. Phone notification with rush request. Please supply FedEx account number for loan requests.
