With a career spanning over 35 years as an educator, researcher and outreach specialist, Dr. John D (Jack) Walstad, Professor Emeritus, Department of Forest Engineering, Resources and Management is a leading scholar in the fields of forest protection, vegetation management, regeneration, silviculture, ecology, academic and research administration. Dr. Walstad served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Science, College of Forestry at Oregon State University from 1980 until 1989 when he became Professor and Department Head of the Department of Forestry Resources at the College of Forestry.
