Two discussions talks will take place, one at 1:30 p.m. on “Tribal Sovereignty 101: Tribes, Treaties and Contemporary Contours” and one at 4 p.m. on “Stoking the Fire: Nationhood in Century Cherokee Writing, 1907-1970.” Both talks will be in the Native American Longhouse Eena Haws.

The annual OSU Sustainability Fair is coming right up. Head over to the SEC Plaza on October 11 (11:30am – 3:00pm) to check out all the many ways that OSU and the Corvallis community are addressing Sustainability. There is a call for proposals out for the 2019 Acquisitions Institute at Timberline Lodge. The planning committee is open to Presentations and Table Talks on all aspects of library acquisitions and collection management. Presenters are encouraged to engage the audience in discussion, whether the presentation leans more toward the practical "here's what we did" sessions or toward the more abstract "here's what we think" sessions.
