Who can use Summit?

Summit is available to currently registered OSU students, faculty and staff with a valid ONID account. We do not provide Summit services to the public.

What if I'm an Ecampus student or Remote employee?

You can submit your request through our library catalog. When placing a request, select "Home Delivery." Physical items can be shipped via FedEx after address confirmation and should be returned via trackable shipping. More information can be found here.

Can I have borrowing privileges while visiting another Summit institution?

  • Currently registered students, faculty, and staff at Summit institutions may have borrowing privileges when they visit other Summit libraries. This "Visiting Patron" service includes borrowing materials from general circulating collections and placing Summit requests.
  • Visit the circulation desk at any of the Summit member libraries and ask to be adopted as a Summit Visiting Patron.
    • You will need to present your OSU ID and be able to log in to your library account to verify eligibility.
    • Please note that some libraries may also require a second form of photo ID (example: driver's license).
