LaSells Stewart Center is having its 14th Annual Community Art Exhibit from July 17 to August 22. Come on by and take a look at some of the artwork that your fellow co-workers have hanging up for the exhibit, such as Karl McCreary’s piece called “The All-Nighter.”
Check-in has temporarily moved from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor annex during the repair work in the circulation area.
ACRL WA-OR has put out a call for proposals for the October Pack Forest Conference in Eatonville, WA. The deadline to submit is August 9th, with the topic: Whiteness and Racism in Academic Libraries: Dismantling Structures of Oppression. Submit proposals online.
Acquisitions/Monograph LT3 – This posting has closed with 9 applicants.
Serials LT3 – The committee reviewed the applicants for this position and none met the minimum qualifications. The PD is being reviewed.
Resource Sharing LT2 – This position is still on hold.
The ETS Unit Manager – Beth Shields starts this Monday, July 29th.
Cataloguing Gov Docs – Brad Englebert was hired for this position, and will start sometime in August.
LT3 Metadata Technician – Two candidates are being interviewed via Zoom this week.
Public Services Unit Supervisor – This posting consideration ends on 31 July and currently has 5 applicants.
Online Learning Librarian – Zach Welhouse was hired for this appointment and begins on September 3rd.

This is Ocelot, also known as Ossie. Ocelot is shown here at the OSU Veterinarian hospital on their underwater treadmill. No worries, Ocelot is doing fine, she just has some nerve pain in her back. She’s actually one of the few cats that they have had success with on the treadmill. Last week’s kitten is the loyal protector and animal companion of Ray Zill.
