Last week for award nominations, wiki updates, and duo events
The ALA Endowment Fund managers made new investments into 2 ESG rated funds, including one that has no mineral or oil extraction holdings - this is something that ALA's Social Responsibilities Round and Sustainability Round Table have been working toward for years, with a renewed push this year!
Nominations are open for the 2019 OSULP Awards until this Friday. Check out the awards criteria before you recognize one of your fellow faculty, staff, or student employees. Just go to the nomination form online.
Interested in serving on a library committee? Check out this new wiki space for a list of all available library committees. Don’t see a committee you’re on as part of the list? Then feel free to add it to the list.
LEAD, in conjunction with LAMP, have planned a day-long confluence documentation event – the Wonderful Wiki Workshop. It’s scheduled for the 28th of March from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Autzen Classroom. Snacks will be available.
The Duo team will have walk-up events for employees to sign up for Duo and get tokens if needed. Their next event is Tuesday, March 19th, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in the lobby of Magruder Hall.
Acquisitions/Monograph LT3 – The updated PD is in the hands of HR now for posting.
Serials LT3 – This position is getting ready to be re-posted.
The ETS Unit Manager – The posting has closed with 19 applicants and the committee is reviewing them.
Cataloguing Gov Docs – One applicant so far, and the word is out about the position.
LT3 Metadata Technician – The position is still live and being promoted.
Public Services Unit Supervisor – 24 applicants and the position is still live and being promoted. It closes this Wednesday.
Press Acquisitions Editor – The committee is submitting their recommendation to Faye this week.
E-Campus Librarian – No new update.
LEAD Evening Supervisor – The committee has been formed and the position is being reviewed by HR.
LEAD LT2 – The hiring authority is working on putting together the committee.

This spectacular evening blossom blooms on the flowering cacti only one night a year. It makes looking at the gangly and tangly green growth all year worthwhile. It’s called a night-blooming cereus.
Answers can be shared with colleagues and guessed among the office. Last week’s feline friend lives with Lucinda Amerman.
A new section for the newsletter. Thanks to the ingenuity (or inanity) of our students and the thoughtfulness of our staff to catch some things in picture form, we have a new section of the weekly newsletter. The goal here will be to guess where these things took place, or just to marvel at the going-on’s across the building.
