OSU will once again work both on- and off-campus with the Corvallis community to collect reusable goods from students during the Great Move Out. There will be a campus forum on DocuSign and how to use the tool on May 23 from 10 to 10:50 a.m. in Owen 101.
Detours and Distancing within Affinity Groups: What White People Do is Thursday, May 24th from 9:00 to 11:30am in 124 Cascade Hall. This experiential learning workshop invites participants to do small group work that identifies common detours and distancing that White people do to explain good intentions. The goal of our work today will be to recognize these patterns and move toward corrective justice practices in the future. Pre-requisite: Must have completed Social Justice Education Initiative - Session 1 & 2 before attending this workshop. Register online now.

Can you guess the animal’s person?
This is Chance. Chance is a African Congo Grey Parrot. She is a teenager, and is very proud of her abilities to communicate with her humans. Like many teenagers, she likes to ask questions. She also enjoys demanding and correcting. She will ask for something “now”, and reminder her humans its bedtime, or that coffee is actually water. Chance especially likes to eat apples as a treat and like to play with shiny toys.
Answers can be shared with colleagues and guessed among the office. Next week’s newsletter will have the owner’s name. Last week’s cool cat lives with Don.
Thank you to everyone for the help you provided on the library's contributions to the Accreditation self-study. We could not have done it without you. And now we (and Faye) are really looking forward to jumping back in to all of the things we had to set aside to get those done.
