Marty Brown has four "family passes" to the Audubon Society's Wild Arts Festival in Portland this weekend, November 18 and 19. Admission is normally $8 per person. Anyone who is interested in snagging these free tickets can e-mail her.
Starting January 22, 2017, all domestic U.S. air travelers will be required to: Show a drivers license issued by a state that is compliant with the REAL ID Act or has been granted an extension (Oregon’s extension runs until October 10, 2018), or show an alternative form of ID such as a passport, etc.. Right now, when you launch Banner in PROD, your browser tab goes blank, and Banner launches as a separate application. (If you close the blank browser tab, though, the Banner application dies with it!)
This is going to change.
Starting Nov 14, when you launch Banner in PROD, it will actually run WITHIN the browser tab.
Emporia State Library program student (and PSU library staffer) Anne Keech completed her practicum with SCARC last week. Among her accomplishments was the processing of four small collections, including the creation of a collection guide for each.

This is Tonantzin, or Toni for short. She was born in southern California, and moved to Oregon fairly recently. She’s a Nigernian goat who won’t stop fussing at you if she wants treats or a good scratching. She loves Juanita’s tortilla chips, laying out in the sun, and dry and brittle grass.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusiveness – Cheryl Middleton
Lately, I have been doing some thinking and looking at the issues of equity, diversity and inclusiveness. This week I spent time reading the ALA, June 2016, Final Report on Equity, Diversity and Inclusiveness (EDI) to get a perspective on how ALA approaches the issues of EDI.
I found the taskforce recommendations to be very focused on the ALA conference experience. However, what spoke to me most in the document was the taskforce’s work to develop a shared definition of the values of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. It made me think about what our institutional shared definitions are. The University defines these values on the following web page. OSULP shares in those values as we go about our daily work and interactions with others. I hope you find value in discovering or rediscovering OSU’s commitment to EDI and the OSULP continued work to embrace and live these values. What are our shared definition
