Due to an influx in fingerprint submittals across the state as well as a system outage earlier in the month, Oregon State Police is currently backlogged with processing fingerprints. Processing timelines are taking approximately 4 weeks from the time they are submitted. Please encourage applicants needing to have national fingerprints to have them processed as soon as they are able to once receiving instructions from University HR. Oregon State Police are working tirelessly to get caught up but it may take until after the holidays to be back to a normal processing timeframe.

A couple of weeks ago SCARC received a pop-up exhibit from the National Archives, Rightfully Hers, 1,000 sets of which were produced to celebrate the national centennial of women's suffrage in 2020. SCARC will set up the exhibit for various events over the course of the next year. It will also be available for other locations in the Valley Library, and will be offered to other departments on campus. Kudos and thanks to Beth Shields for arranging this!

Last week’s good pupper lives with Don Frier.
This is Scarlett. She was a feral Rhode Island Red hen until she decided to adopt her family. She has lots of friends at her house – two dogs, five cats, and two whitetail deer fawns. She is especially fond of apples, pears, and mealworms, and will let you know when she’s hungry.
Have some good tunes you listen to at work to keep you motivated? Looking to try out something new or different? Than take a look at what your fellow co-workers are listening to at the office here.
Don is a big fan of listening to the Classical for Studying Radio station on Pandora, but for some reason they keep playing the musical version of movie and video game soundtracks.
