Are you a new employee to OSU Libraries and Press? Then don’t forget that you need to take the online learning on Bridge. The Library New Staff Training for Travel is a required training course for employees in the library, and will explain the policies and procedures for requesting travel and receiving reimbursement for it.
This Thursday is the Former Employee Reunion in the Rotunda. The event kicks off at 5:30, and drinks will be served at 6. Come by and hang out with some of your former colleagues!
There have been some slight changes to the shopping showcase in BennyBuy. Now when you select the icon for a Punchout vendor, instead of the word Punchout it will say “Shop Now”. They’re also changing the way the “I Found it Cheaper” button works, moving it to a fillable e-mail instead of the existing form.

There have been some minor updates to the University’s fiscal policy regarding procurement cards. Long story short, they made it so that a card custodian cannot also be the budget authority for the card, and removed the restriction on using the card for printing and copying expenses.
Acquisitions/Monograph LT3 – No new update.
Serials LT3 – No new update.
Circulation Supervisor – Steve Weber has accepted this position and will start on October 11th.
Resource Sharing LT2 – This position is still on hold.
LT3 Metadata Technician – Kevin Jones has accepted this position and will start on October 1st.
Public Services Unit Supervisor – In-person interviews are taking place this week.
SCARC LT2 – SCARC is working to appoint former student assistant Helena Egbert into a temporary LT2 position.
Diversity Scholar – We have our third Diversity Scholar, Valeria Dávila, a first-year MLIS student at Emporia State. Her start date is October 1st.
