Many thanks, information, and updates this week.
NEWS
OSU’s Division of Extended Campus will be honoring Stefanie Buck at their annual faculty forum luncheon with an Extended Campus Appreciation Award for her work supporting faculty who teach Ecampus courses, her efforts leading our participation with the affordable learning initiative with Open Oregon State, and as an Ecampus Research Unit Fellow. Of course, they noted that these are but a few of Stefanie's many successful collaborations with Extended Campus.
TAKE NOTE
Join Larry Landis at the Corvallis Science Pub on April 9th at 6 pm. It will be held at the Old World Deli. Advanced registration is required if you want a reserved seat.
Many thanks to Rachel, Dave, and X for moving the copiers and scanners back into the Learning Commons, and to the rest of LEAD for repairing chairs, cleaning spaces, and scrubbing stuff off of furniture. The library looks ready for another term!
The University put out some additional information about the faculty unionization process. You can check out their updated FAQ page here, or just download a handy word document with the information here. Questions on the process or the information at these locations can be forwarded to Susan Capalbo or Donna Chastain.
The Statewide Database Review is moving along. While there won’t be any demonstrations, OSULP is familiar with most of the vendors listed. There is a survey that can be filled out regarding these vendors, which is due April 10th.

GUESS THAT PET
Can you guess the cat’s person?
This is Zinfandel and Riesling (extra points if you can guess which one is which). This brother and sister crew are currently living the high life in Pennsylvania. Zia is primarily the bolder, more adventurous one, while Riese is a bit more timid – but just as sweet as can be.
Answers can be shared with colleagues and guessed among the office. Next week’s newsletter will have the owner’s name. Last week’s feline overlord lives with Rachel Kenny.
